McMillans - Round 21

"Look, I don't have time to waste with an interview," Meredith told the headmaster.  "If you let my grandchildren into the school, I will donate $100,000."

"That's most generous," the headmaster schmoozed.  "And of course we would love to have your grandchildren at our esteemed school."

Meredith turned her back, so she didn't see the headmaster cheer in the background.

Feeling faint, Meredith put her hand to her head.  "I'm feeling very tired..." she said right before she crumbled to the ground.

"Wait! Ms. McMillion! I mean... Ms. McMillan!" the headmaster stuttered.  Patting her hand, he desperately tried to revive her.  She hadn't signed anything yet!  "Wake up, Ms. McMillan!"

Chase was excited to reach the pinnacle of success in the Dance field.  He was riding high from the praise his superior gave him after rehearsal today.

His good mood plummeted....

Chantel wept into her hands.  "I miss Grandma!" she cried.

Chasity patted her sister's shoulder.  "I know, Chantal.  It's going to be okay."

"Oh, quit being a baby, Chantal," Charity sniped.  "Crying doesn't help anything!"

Chasity sat back in surprise.  "Charity! What an unkind thing to say!"

"Well it's true!" Charity yelled as she jumped up from the table and ran to her room.

Chasity wish she knew how to help Charity.  Ever since Grandma died, she'd been acting out and picking on Chantel.  The break-through came one day when she saw Charity heading around the corner of the house.

"Excuse me guys, I"ll be right back," Chasity told her friends.

Chasity watched from a distance as Charity mourned.  When Charity turned around, she was wiping tears from her eyes and was surprised to see Chasity standing there.  Crying even harder, she ran into Chasity's arms and accepted her hug.

"I miss her so much," Charity cried.

Chasity rubbed Charity's back.  "I know you do.  We all do."

Chasity talked her mom into letting her throw Charity's birthday party.  She invited all the cool kids.

But, God! Her parents were so embarrassing!

Charity was glad that Chasity had thought to throw her a party & to share her friends.  But, there was one friend that Charity had been waiting to see since he'd gotten too cool for her.

The first thing he did when he walked in was offer her a birthday massage.

"Thanks," Charity said leaning forward to kiss him.  "You're sweet."  Feeling a little foolish, she grinned somewhat awkwardly & then ran to ask  Chasity what to do.

Happy birthday Chance!

You look like you haven't aged a day!
