Round 13 Census

Sim State Uni - 9th Class

(Uh oh. I foresee problems since all of the guys immediately heart farted over Veronica Potter, the seductress Romance Sim.)

 Sim State University, Class 09!

Dana Rodriguez squealed with delight when she saw Joshua Bear walk through the door.  "You made it!" she shouted as she leapt into his arms.

Joshua hugged her tight.  "I did it, baby! I got in!"

Meanwhile, Veronica Potter cornered Tyler McMillan in the computer room and kissed him for all she was worth.

"I've been wanting to do that since 7th grade," she gloated.

Tyler was surprised.  Veronica had never shown any interest in him before.  But, wow! She could kiss!

(What? A scorching kiss like that & neither one of them are in love.  Geez!  Veronica... you're going to be a trouble maker, aren't you?!)

Susie Hart found Gunnar and flirted with him.  "I'm surprised you made it! You missed almost the last half of the semester!"

Gunnar shrugged.  "I got a scholarship."

"Oh yeah? For what?!"

Gunnar felt uncomfortable.  "My Dad died..."

Susie' felt awful.  "Oh Gunnar! I'm so sorry!" Grabbing his hand, she kissed it.  "Do you forgive me?"

Gunnar pulled his hand back.  "No big deal.  Have you seen Ellen?"

Susie shrugged. "Yeah, I thought I saw her messing with one of her professors..."

Ellen couldn't believe what an awesome professor she had!  He was young, hot & incredibly sexy! She wouldn't mind taking the A that went with dating him!

Gunnar waited while Ellen talked.  She was so beautiful.  He wanted more than anything to get together with her, but knew that he didn't have a real solid future to offer her.  He could imagine introducing her to his Mother and enjoying monster holidays with the family. No it was best that he just date a girl once & then move on...

Veronica walked past the kitchen and then stopped.  Leaning back, she checked out the streaker that had stopped to grab a bottle of water.

Sauntering over, she looked him up and down.  "Must be hard work streaking around in nothing," she teased.

"Hey, it's harder than it looks." He said, then checked her out.  "You should try it some time. Just make sure you give me a call."

"Man. My classes are hard!" Susie complained over breakfast.

"And there's not datable guys in the dorm!" Ellen added.

"Amen to that, sister!" Veronica pouted.

Susie blushed.  "I don't know about that.  Gunnar's pretty handsome."

Ellen & Veronica made eye contact and then looked the other way.  Susie must not have known the score if she thought Gunnar was marriage material.

Ellen reached across the table, "Listen, Susie. Gunnar... well... he isn't going to settle down."

Veronica snorted.  "Been there, done that!"

Susie glanced down quickly.  "Yeah, I knew that. Of course!"

"Thanks for coming over & helping me with the assignment," Ellen told her Professor.  "I just didn't quite understand the historical implications."

He just smiled kindly. "I'm happy to help." Glancing around the busy computer room.  "Do you think there might be somewhere we could talk a little bit more privately?"

Ellen shrugged.  "Sure, we can go in my room."

"Perfect!"

As soon as the door shut, the Professor reached over and swept her into his arms.  "I wanted some privacy because I've been thinking about doing this all evening.."

Gunnar couldn't help himself from hitting on Veronica all the time, even though he knew she was with Tyler.  "You know, he's not into fun & games anymore.  He's expecting to propose to you at the end of the semester.  He's going to want the fairytale forever after... Now me on the other hand... what you see is what you get..."

Veronica waved away Gunnar's concerns.  "Hah, you think just because he hit junior year he's going to go all Family sim on me? No, that pleasure-seeking Tyler I know is still in there!  But, I do like the look of you, too..."

Gunnar was running out of girls to date, so he relied heavily on the local matchmaker.  "The Coach?" he exclaimed in surprise.  "You sent me the coach?"  Gunnar cringed & hoped she didn't make him drop and give her 50.  "I'm sorry, Coach.  It seems there's been a mix-up."

"No sweat, sugar."  She ambled away.

"God! The Coach? I'm not tipping you for that one, he complained."

The matchmaker sniffed.  "You want pretty girl, you give me pretty money."

"Fine. Here!" Gunnar shoved the money at her and waited impatiently.

The matchmaker smiled.  "Now that's more like it! Pretty girl for your 50th date!"

Gunnar was surprised and did a double-take.  "Did you just say this is my 50th date?"  For a moment he felt proud, but then he just felt empty.  All those girls... he didn't even remember their names.. no happy memories of them.

He kind of missed Ellen.  But, ever since she started junior year, she'd been dating that damn professor pretty heavily.  She was talking about forever & golden anniversaries with him.

And Veronica was still seeing Tyler.  Gunnar kicked back in the reclining chair and prattled on about this and that, trying to get a rise out of Veronica.

"Shut up! We're trying to watch the movie!"

"Oh! Forgive me! I'm sorry to interrupt.  Is this a date?"

Tyler just laughed and reached for Veronica's hand.

She turned around and hissed, "Gunnar! Beat it! I'm serious!"

Veronica was dancing in the common area when she felt someone come up behind her.  "Gunnar! You're going to get me in trouble!" She griped.

"Hey! I'm just dancing with a pretty lady!"

Veronica rolled her eyes.  "Try to keep up, bad boy!"

"Baby got BAAAACK!" the cow yelled from across the room.

Gunnar

Veronica cracked her knuckles.  "I don't need you to fight my battles for me, Gunnar." Veronica stepped forward and thumped the cow in the nose.  "I can do that all by myself!"

"Dana... I've been putting this off... but I just couldn't wait anymore.  We'll be graduating soon and I wanted to know if you move back home with me and marry me."

"Of course!" Dana gushed.  "I'm so excited! Wait until I tell my mom!"

Veronica felt sick to her stomach. She had a choice to make.  Gunnar & Tyler tripped over themselves to talk to her, congratulate her.  And Gunnar was so outrageous! She was just waiting for the day that he let it slip that they fooled around on a regular basis.   She had to pick one or the other.

Tyler was a good man, dependable, smart, kind.  He'd back her up no matter what she decided to do with her life.  But, she knew he wouldn't tolerate her catting around.  He'd caught him Mom with a lover the day before he came to college & she knew he was dreading going home.

And Gunnar.  There was so much she didn't know about him.  He'd always been so secretive and closed off.  He was a just a good time personified.

She just needed a little bit more time to think about it...

Ellen smiled.  "I'm so glad that I have this picture to take back of our time together."  She was trying hard not to cry.  Mature women did not start bawling because it was time to graduate & leave their true love behind.

"You don't need it to remind you.  I mean, what do I have going here for me anyways?"

Ellen blinked.  "What do you mean?"

The Professor just smiled.  "I was kind of hoping you'd take me home with you..."

"Veronica..." Tyler said as he dropped down to one knee.

"Oh my God," Veronica said.  Make him stand up, make him stand up, she fervently wished.  Please don't say it!

"...Will you marry me?"

Veronica stared at the ring like a deer in the headlights.  Perfect analogy, she thought.  She felt like she'd just been hit by a two-ton truck.

Nervously, Tyler held the ring out for her to look at.  Maybe he should've done this when no one else was around.

"... Yes... "

Tyler jumped up.  "Yes? You'll marry me!"  Turning to the group of large, he cheered, "She said YES!"

Veronica looked back and met Gunnar's eyes.  She winced as he just shrugged and went inside.

Creelmans - Round 13

Adam and Jody settled into their new home and a new routine.  They spent time together advancing their careers and studying.  She might have her nose buried in a book, but she knew Adam was right there next to her if she needed him.

"Did you eat chips for breakfast?" Jody asked as she carried a plate of omelette's to the table.

Adam absently kissed her on the cheek. "Had to eat something quick. Gotta go!"

For awhile it was hard to get any time together.  He left for work just as she was getting home.

"Come on, baby," Adam teased as he danced outrageously in front of her.  "Come dance with me."

Jody held up a finger.  "In a minute, Adam. I've almost finished this chapter."

Adam shook his hips.  "But I'm a hunk of burnin' love, baby..."

Jody tried not to giggle.  "Seriously Adam. I'm almost finished..."

"Hunka... hunka..."

Jody slammed the book shut.  "There! Done! Finished! Race you to the bed Hunka!"

Adam shouted, "Hey! No fair! You got a head start!" Then caught her dress as it hit him in the head.  He quit complaining and hurried after her.

Jody watched from the window for when Adam's car would pull up.  She'd missed him today.  Flying out the door and down the front walk, she jumped in his arms.  "I've missed you!"

"Are you ready for the wedding tomorrow? I'm going to wrap you up extra tight tonight to make sure you don't get any cold feet," Adam joked.

"I promise to take care of you in sickness in health... until death do us part..." Adam recited.

"It was a beautiful wedding, sweetie.  I'm so glad I was here to see it!" Jody hugged her Mother tight.  Ever since Daddy died, Mom was convinced she was next.

Adam went to hug Carlye, "Moooom..." he said.  At the last minute he pulled back and held his hand out for an awkward handshake since she was looking at him like he was crazy. Okay, no hugging yet, he thought.

Reeds (2) - Round 13

Amy had never felt more at peace than she did in her little glen.

"Mom," Amy said hugging Brandi.  "I'm sorry if I worried you."

Brandi wiped the tears from her eyes.  "I'd thought you were dead.  You should have called!"

"I know, Mom. I was just so shocked to find out that I'd... changed... And then it took me awhile to get used to it, to build my glen.  And there's something else I want to show you..."

"Your first grandchild, Rudhon."

Brandi looked around what Amy called her Glen.  It really was amazing.  Rudhon played with butterflies while the twins sat in a path of flowers and calmly chatted.  It was so tranquil... so peaceful here.  Brandi looked at Amy joking around with Matthew.  She seemed more at peace her than she ever had back home.

She walked up to Amy and hugged her fiercely.  "Be happy.  That's what I want for you the most."

"I love you, Mom," Amy said.  "Thanks for understanding."

Amy chatted with Rodhun as she bathed in the water.  "Sunlight, water and love.  That's what we need to live.  It's nice, isn't it?"

Rodun cooed.

"Wilbur? Is that you?" Amy asked when she saw a man at the edge of her Glen, smelling the flowers.

Wilbur jerked up.  "Who's there?"

"It's me, Amy."

Wilbur came closer and studied her.  "What happened to you?" he asked, with a touch of wonder in his voice.

"I'm free! I used to worry about what other people thought... but here... I'm surrounded by nature and I am loved!"

Wilbur glanced around the lot.  It was too dark to see everything.  But, to see Amy smile.  It was beautiful. He thought about all the heart ache he'd been through in college- being passed over by all the girls.  He wondered what it would be like to live here in a simple, beautiful world... and to be loved.

Amy saw the thoughts floating across Wilbur's face.  It was funny how perceptive she'd become since becoming a Plant Sim.  Leaning forward, she kissed him lightly on the lips.

"You are loved," she told him.

Wilbur got out of bed quietly and gazed at the woman.. the plant... Amy... as she lay sleeping.  It had been amazing, but he was worried if he stayed that he might somehow mess up this perfect world.  Tiptoeing out, he started to head home when he saw little Rodhun at the edge of clearing.

"Goodnight little Rodhun," Wilbur told him as he played in a puddle.

The next morning, Amy stretched wide awake and smiled.  After caring for her plants, she and Rodhun stared at the clouds as they passed and soaked in the sunrays. She knew she would see Wilbur again.

And she did.  He came over every night and joined her in her bed.  She had come to care very much for him, but knew he had to make a choice to stay instead of leave.

"Amy," Wilbur began.  "You're amazing. Will you..." Wilbur was interrupted when all of a sudden Rodhun began to grow.

Startled, he stepped back.  Before him stood a man where a baby had stood before.

He glanced at Amy and back to Rodhun.  "What?"

Amy hugged Rodhun.

Rodhun glanced at his hands and checked his toes.  It felt interesting to grow so big, so fast.  It was almost as though he could feel himself grow.

Wilbur made his excuses and left.  He'd been to startled to ask Amy his question.  There were too many unknowns.  To age from a baby to a man in a moment's time.  What happened when someone became old? Would Amy turn brown and wither away? How long of a lifetime would they have together?

In the end, he couldn't stay away and he decided that he would live his life with her on her terms, not his own.

Kneeling, he proposed marriage to her and asked her to take his last name.

She agreed and murmured a few words in an unfamiliar tongue & announced they were married.

And soon, she told him that she was expecting.

Wilbur worried again.  Would she have a human baby... a mixed baby? Would she be healthy? Would the baby be healthy? Wilbur wished he knew the answers...

Rodhun spawned a baby of his own and called him Cennon.

Amy looked around the room & smiled at all the life that existed in it.  There was a mingling of two worlds and it was beautiful to watch!

"So they don't eat? Ever?" Mason asked curiously.

Wilbur toyed with his food.  "They'll eat, but they don't need to.  Amy says that sometimes she craves a bowl of macaroni like she ate when she was human."

Mason nodded.  "Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Do you ever wish you were... you know.. a Plant Sim too?"

Wilbur sighed.  "Sometimes I wish I was a Plant Sim. But Amy says it's not for me.  That it's not in my future. My duty is to our baby..."

"Wilson," Amy murmured.  "You will be a fine young man, like your father."

Amy gazed at her Glen lovingly.  It was growing as their family expanded.  Wilbur had asked if they could get a puppy.  She'd lovingly told him no.

He asked if she was worried about the flowers being destroyed & she'd patted his cheek and told him that she was pregnant again.

Rodhun held Cennan in his arms and stared at the birthday cake.  He'd never seen one before except in the movies.  And in the movies they lit candles and yelled Happy Birthday.  He jiggled Cennan on his hip and yelled "Happy Birthday!"

Cennan glanced at his hands and his tunic, then glanced around the room.  "Is this... cake, Father?"

Amy set another cake on the table and snuggled little Wilson.

Coochie, coochie, coo!  Wilson giggled as Amy played with him.

He was the spitting image of his father...

The family gathered in the nursery and talked about birthdays and babies.

Wilbur was asking Cennan if he planned on spawning a baby.  "So, how do you know when it's time to spawn a baby?" Wilbur asked.

Cennan shrugged.  "Just as the trees know when it's time to release their spores... and the bees know where to collect the honey. When it is time... I will spawn a baby to raise and love."

 Later that night...

"Hello, little son, little Bronadir."  Cennan gathered his seedling in his arms.

Wilson huggled Bronadir. "Brubber!" he said.  "He my brubber!"
