McMillans (2) - Round 15

Conrad walked into the livingroom where Casey and Clint were spread out of the floor gabbing like girls.  "Do you guys mind? I'd like to make a phone call!"

Casey waved his hand. "Go right on ahead, dufus."

"A private phone call."

The boys grumbled, but ambled outside to give Conrad some privacy.

"Tristen! I'm glad you could come over," Conrad said when she walked in.  "It's nice to see a face from school!  You might know acouple other guys that are coming over!"

"Guys! Break it up!" Conrad called out.  "Somebody's going to get hurt."

"I know! And it's going to be Clint!" Casey called out as he flung his brother to the floor.  "He messed around with my girl!"

Elizabeth ran into the room.  "Casey Nicholas McMillan!" she called out sternly. "You stop that this moment!"

Casey immediately let Clint go and then shuffled his feet in front of his mom.  Hanging his head, he felt so embarrassed.

"What in the world were you thinking?" she demanded.

Casey pointed at Clint.  "He stole my girl!" he accussed.

Elizabeth shook her head. "You have to figure out a way to settle this without fists.  I know you're hurt now, but it's not worth letting a girl come between you and your brother."

"Sorry about that," Conrad told Tristen as they went in the other room.  "Boys, right?!"

Tristen played with Calico.  "Oh, I know how that is! I grew up with three rowdy brothers! It doesn't bother me."
Conrad smiled.  "Well, that's good. Because, you see.. well.. I was hoping you might.. you know... want to move to Paradise Valley.  You know... to be close to me..."
Tristen smiled.  "Are you proposing?"

Conrad shook his head.  "I've done this all wrong," he mumbled.  Dropping to one knee, he pulled a ring out of his pants.  "Tristen Harris, will you marry me and become Mrs. McMillan?"

"I do!" Tristen gushed.

The wedding was a huge hit.  Family & friends all gathered in the livingroom to witness their marriage.
Elizabeth gazed at how happy Conrad was with Tristen.  It made her so happy to see her son so in love.

It wasn't long before Tristen announced to the family that she was pregnant.

With a little one on the way, Casey and Clint decided that it was time to head off to school.

It surprised everyone how upset Tristen had been when Calico had passed away.  She had grown very attached to him in the short time she'd been living in the home.

She'd asked if anyone would mind if she got another kitten.  And soon, Tabby & Ginger came to live with them.

"Land ahoy!" Kevin called from the top of his playscape.

"Kevin!" Elizabeth called.  "Time for school!"

"Aw man. Do I have to?"

Elizabeth sighed.  "Do we have to have this discussion every morning.  Yes, you have to go to school.  Aren't you getting a little old to be playing on this old thing?"

"Aw come on, Mom. It's not that small!" Kevin whined.

"No, but you are getting too big for it! You're almost a teenager for goodness sake! It's more suited to Helen!"

"Aw, Mom! Tristen's just a baby!"

Elizabeth tried to hurry her slow-poke son along.  "Yes, but she's growing up fast!"
