Landrys - Round 15

Ruben came home from work and found Sally sitting on the couch.  Snuggling close to her, he told her his good news.  He'd made it to the top of journalism!

Sally wrapped her arms around his neck and gave him a big kiss.  "I knew you could do it!" she exclaimed.  We should throw a party tonight to celebrate! No more than 20 people over this time, though!"

Rueben laughed.  "I don't have that many best friends! We're not all like you who's stayed with best friends with everyone you've ever met!"

Ryder had some good news of his own when he got home.

And time to say goodbye to Kate.  He kissed her deeply.  "I'm going to miss you Kate," he said sadly.  "I'll be back soon, though.  I want to stay together, despite the distance."

Kate kissed him tenderly.  "I'll be right behind you. Don't worry. Nothing will change my feelings for you while you're away!  I love you!"

Ryder gave Kate one last kiss and then hopped in the taxi.

Sally's carpool dropped her off and she took a moment to admire the perfect day.  She'd reached her the top of her third career, the sun was shining, the air was salty & life was wonderful!  She couldn't imagine a happier life than the one she had lived!

Even her boys were starting to get along better!

Dean was so annoyed that Quinn had a girl over while Mom & Dad were at work.  "You're going to get in trouble." he said.

Quinn barely spared Dean a glance.  "Only if you tell on me," he warned.

Dean shrugged and kept playing.  If he had to admit it, he would have to say he was actually jealous.  Really jealous.

"It was gross, Sonja! They were on the couch 2 feet away making out."

Sonja seemed very interested.  "You mean he was kissing her? With his tongue?!"

"Yeah."

Sonja leaned across the table and whispered, "Have you ever kissed anyone?"

Dean felt embarrassed.  "No. Not yet. Have you?"

Sonja blushed, too.  "No. Not like that."

Silence.

Sonja whispered again, "Do you want to try?"
